Ooh how excited I am to share this episode with you today!
I’ve been thinking a lot about creativity, and how it feels like the only thing that is making sense to me in a time of so much destruction (and AI💀).
What we make with our hands, for ourselves and for each other, matters so much!!!! To make is such a human endeavour. In this episode, we’re talking about creating from a place of hope, raw expression, the cosmic origins of creation itself, and more.
I welcome you to listen to this episode, even (or especially) if you don’t consider yourself an “artist”. I promise you, you’re creating every day, with the mediums of meals, moments, conversations, and so many more.
So, what do you want to create?
In this episode, Cassie and Pascale explore creativity, not as something reserved for artists or moments of inspiration, but as a way of engaging with the world. Through honest conversation and grounded reflection, they look at how creativity emerges in everyday choices, in the ways we solve problems, express ourselves, and imagine new possibilities, and how nurturing it asks for curiosity, courage, and openness.
What does it mean to see creativity as something we live, rather than something we produce? How can we learn to trust our creative instincts in a way that shapes not only what we make, but who we are becoming?
Join us this summer in BC!🌈✨
I’m honoured to be joined by guest teacher Pascale Goodrich, teacher, musician, activist, athlete, and cohost of the Hope is Resistance podcast!
She is bringing her gifts in the forms of song, ceremony, and movement.
Our last retreat at this location 🥺
If you’ve been wanting to join us at Nectar, this is your chance.
I first went to Nectar after I lost my nonprofit, Warrior Yoga, and got very very sick with meningitis in 2021. It rained the whole time I was there (which was a relief), and I curled up in my cute little cabin and cried and cried and mourned my old life. It was a tremendous blessing to me to have that sanctuary.
I returned the following year to host my own retreat, and I have been bringing you all back there annually ever since. I love going to Nectar (as a gal with 5 Virgo placements lol) because they’ve tended to every detail of the experience so that you feel truly taken care of and able to unplug. In recent years, they even added a thermal spa on the property, it really is a dream.
However, this will be my last year hosting at Nectar Yoga 🥹. In 2027, they’re pivoting to offer just 2 main meals per day (brunch/dinner) but I know my girls like to eat… so I don’t think that will work for us. :)
Don’t worry, Nest Retreats are not going anywhere (except to a new location)! I still plan to offer at least one retreat per year. Stay tuned to find out where our 2027 location will be, and please feel free to reply with your requests/recommendations.👀
💝 Can I ask you for a favour?
If you’re not joining us this summer but you wish you were, could you share about it with someone who would love this experience?
For the most part, I’m a one woman show, and I really appreciate you helping spread the word so I can keep focusing on making these experiences for us, including the pod!
Warmly,
